Big Boo’s Roasted Corn
We find out pretty early in the series that Big Boo loves corn on the cobb. As early as Episode 2 we see her tucking one into her bra, along with a container of salt.
This particular recipe involves a bit more than just salt, but it’s simple to make and very tasty!
The corn is made over a gas flame on the stove. It only takes about 10 minutes to fully cook it, but you will need to keep it turning.
Be aware that if you have any silks left on the corn, they will pop and crackle and even throw out the occasional spark every once in a while. So you’ve been warned!
If you don’t have a gas stove, they have an alternate method to cook the corn in the oven, instead.
The topping is just a mix of lime juice, chile powder, and salt.
I was a little bit worried about the corn being black, thinking it would taste a bit burnt, but it didn’t negatively affect the flavor at all!

Taste: 9/10
This is not your usual buttery corn, but the flavor is really nice! The lime was especially good, and it paired nicely with the chile powder. I’d actually add even more chile powder next time.
Difficulty: Easy
You should be careful around the open gas flame, but this recipe was shockingly easy to make.
Cost: Cheap
All you need is corn on the cobb, lime, chile powder, and salt!
