Pete’s California Dip

Pete-chip-n-dip-2This delicious recipe is mentioned in Episode 7 of Season 1.  Pete opens up a wedding present that contains a “Chip’n’Dip”…. a serving dish for chips and dip.  He explains to his perplexed friends what exactly it is and says:

“We went to these people’s house and they had one.  It had sour cream with these little brown onions in it.  It was very good.”

I decided to serve this dip with baby carrots instead of potato chips, since California Dip already isn’t the healthiest of choices.

So what’s in California Dip?  Onion soup mix and sour cream.

Yep, that’s it.

Just mix them together and put in the fridge until you’re ready to eat!

Taste: 10/10

We loved this!  For such a simple recipe, it’s surprisingly delicious!  It would work well with pretty much any vegetable or regular potato chips.20180818_163256

Difficulty: Easy

Just mix and chill!

Cost: Cheap

All you need is onion soup mix and sour cream…and then whatever you want to dip in it, of course!
