20180903_151258Found in the 7th episode of Season 4, this is the drink that Peggy Olson sips on during a conversation with Don Draper.  The Oak Bar is seen much earlier in the show, in Season 1, but as the Manhattan is their signature drink it makes sense to use their specific recipe!

Everything is mixed in one cup with ice, and then strained into a chilled glass.  This includes rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, Angostura bitters, and a maraschino cherry.

Taste: 8/10

This is yet another extremely strong drink from this cookbook, but it was quite tasty.  The bitters in particular were a nice addition to this drink.20180903_151631

Difficulty: Easy

Just mix in one glass, and then pour into another.

Cost: Pricey

You’ll need to purchase both rye and sweet vermouth, in addition to Angostura bitters and possibly maraschino cherries (though the cherry does not really affect the drink’s flavor, and is more for show).
