Sloppy Joes (1st Way)
This recipe from Susan Mayer includes two possibilities for your Sloppy Joe mixture – either in a burger bun, or mixed with macaroni!
We opted for the burger this time around.
The recipe itself is very simple: saute onion and celery, add ground beef (or turkey), add paprika and diced tomatoes, add Worcestershire sauce, and finally add hot pepper sauce.
Then it’s piled onto a burger bun and topped with cheddar cheese (optional)!
Taste: 9/10
This was delicious! And it actually made more than just the four burgers for us. My husband wanted to dock it another point because “it’s too messy”…I guess he hasn’t had a Sloppy Joe before!
Difficulty: Easy
This is super simple – once you’ve chopped up the onion and celery, you just need to cook everything over the stove in a single pan.
Cost: Average
You will need onion, celery, salt, ground beef or turkey, paprika, canned diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, burger buns/rolls, and optional cheddar cheese.
