Jakku Juice
This drink recipe is named for the hot and dry planet that Rey calls home. It’s mean to be a refreshing thirst-quencher on hot days.
The first step is to freezer your half-orange slices and pineapple juice in an ice cube tray, so you’ll want to start this a day in advance (or make the ice early in the day, planning to drink this in the evening).
And then the drink itself is pretty simple – combine orange juice, sparkling water, and grated ginger in a cup. Stir. Add pineapple ice cubes. And enjoy!
Taste: 9/10
The pineapple ice cubes didn’t melt fast enough so it mostly just tasted like OJ and sparkling water with a hint of ginger. It was very good, but the pineapple juice would have been great in there!
The ginger also sank to the bottom, so I didn’t taste much of it at first but it did add a nice flavor once I got to it. And it is a very refreshing drink!
Difficulty: Easy
Nothing tricky about this one!
Cost: Cheap / Average
You’ll need an orange, pineapple juice, orange juice, sparkling water, and ginger.
You’ll have to purchase a full container of pineapple juice, orange juice, and sparkling water to make this, so if you’re just making 2 glasses (as the recipe calls for), the cost would be more “average.” If you’re planning on making multiple of these and using up the containers, it would be on the cheap end.
