Fifty Shades of Bacon: Bacon Fudge

Bacon Fudge

Yep – you read that right.  And no, I’m not excited about this one either.  But it was super-simple to make, which was nice.

First the bacon is cooked until crispy, then drained and chopped.  The chocolate chips are melted in the microwave, and mixed with sweetened condensed milk.  How much condensed milk?  Recipe just says “a can” (not helpful).

Then it’s all mixed together and poured into a pan, except for a handful of bacon chunks that are sprinkled on top of the whole thing.  It goes into the fridge until it’s set

That’s all, folks!

Taste: 7/10

It’s not as bad as I thought it’d be, but it’s not great.  The bacon ruins the chocolatey-deliciousness in my opinion.  It also ended up being too soft.  Fudge should be able to stay outside of the fridge and still maintain it’s shape.

Difficulty: Easy

It involves cooking and chopping bacon, melting chocolate chips in a microwave, and mixing ingredients together.  Not too tough at all!

Cost: Cheap

Three ingredients: bacon, chocolate chips, and sweetened condensed milk.
