Luke’s Easy Oatmeal-Chocolate Chip Cookies

Luke: “We’ll use these cookies as bait. Lily’s crazy for them. When she grabs them with her grubby little hands, off goes the trap. Boom – big puddle of milk. She’ll get in so much trouble. My mom hates messes.
Manny: “I’m familiar with Claire.
– Season 3, Episode 16

These cookies are indeed quite easy to make! All you have to do is mix the dry ingredients together, then add in the wet ingredients and combine.

They warn you that the mixture will be quite crumbly, and they’re absolutely right. A lot of the dough crumbled out of my hands while I was forming it into balls, but I simply added more dough to each one until there was enough sticking together to make it work.

Once the dough is formed into balls, they bake in the oven until golden. They’ll still be soft, but will harden up as they cool.

I made half the recipe, since we didn’t need 72 cookies!

Taste: 10/10

These were great little cookies! I thought there wouldn’t be enough chocolate chips, but I was completely wrong. And the pecans were excellent in there!

Difficulty: Easy

Just like the recipe title says, these are easy (and quick!) cookies to throw together.

Cost: Cheap…Possibly average

Cost will depend on what’s already in your pantry. There are a bunch of ingredients, but none of the items are too expensive and they’re all pretty common.

You’ll need flour, baking soda, baking powder, quick-cooking rolled oats, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, chopped pecans, chocolate chips, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
