I’ve finished five of Lynette’s recipes, and now we’re on to Gabrielle Solis! In the beginning of the series, Gaby is basically a trophy wife so she spends a lot of time, energy, and money on herself. Because of this her meals tend to be on the healthier side, which is always good news to me!
Pineapple-Peach Smoothie
Since we were in a bit of a rush this morning (still recovering from the time change), this was an easy breakfast to prep.
The ingredients were pineapple juice, frozen peaches, and vanilla soy milk (or regular soy milk + vanilla extract). They’re tossed in the blender, blended until smooth, and that’s it.
I somehow did manage to mess this up a little bit, though. Apparently I was supposed to blend the peaches first until finely chopped and THEN add in the rest. It still turned out great, but I do wonder if it would have been less thick had I blended the peaches separately like they described.
Taste: 9/10
This was really good. It was very close to a 10/10, but I really couldn’t tell you what was missing for me. And it was bit too thick – we had to eat it with a spoon.
Difficulty: Easy
It’s a smoothie, so all you need is a blender!
Cost: Cheap
Pineapple juice, frozen peaches, and vanilla soy milk are all that’s needed for this one.
