Georgia Peach Crumble

Walking-Dead-Jerry-Carol-02202017Because the show is filmed in George, peaches do pop up on the show every so often.  This crumble could also be in reference to the cobbler (which the actor confirmed was peach) that Jerry hands Carol in Season 7.

Cobblers and crumbles are usually pretty simple to make, and this is no exception.

Sliced peaches are mixed with flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and lemon juice, and then transferred to a baking dish.

Separately, brown sugar, flour and salt are combined, and then butter is cut in.  This is sprinkled over the peaches.

Finally, the entire thing is baked until bubbling!

Taste: 9/10

This was very good, but a little too sweet for me…and I love sugar.  I would actually eliminate the extra sugar that’s mixed in with the peaches if I were to make this again.  I don’t think it’s needed, as the peaches are sweet enough on their own.20200627_200027

Difficulty: Easy

Just slice the peaches, measure out ingredients, and mix everything together.

Cost: Cheap

Most of these ingredients are probably already in your pantry.  You’ll need: peaches, flour, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, lemon juice, and unsalted (aka “sweet”) butter.
