Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Cheeseburgers

I mean…how could this not be delicious, right? It’s beef, bacon and cheese! AND it’s pretty simple to make, which makes this a big win!

First, the beef is seasoned and shaped into four patties. Cheddar cheese is placed into the middle of each patty, and the beef is formed around it and re-shaped into a patty. Then the whole thing is wrapped with bacon and secured with a toothpick.

The final step is to grill the burgers on a barbecue, put them on buns, and top with lettuce and tomato.

As is common with these “Fifty Shades of Bacon” recipes, there was some unclear sections of the recipe. This time it was the cheese. The recipe says how much cheese to use in oz, but does not say how it should be cut / shaped. I cut it into 4 big chunks, but it wasn’t very easy to shape the meat around it and I certainly wasn’t able to “fold” the meat around the cheese. The meat felt like it was stretched pretty thin by the time it made it all the way around. In the end the burgers were a little more oval-shaped.

Taste: 9/10

This was an almost-perfect burger, but it was really hard to cook the meat well in the middle without burning the bacon on the outside.

Difficulty: Easy

This was not a tough recipe to make, just be careful to completely cover the cheese with the meat so there aren’t any holes for the cheese to leak out of while you’re grilling.

Cost: Average

You’ll need ground beef, grill seasoning, bacon, cheddar cheese, hamburger buns, lettuce, tomatoes, and toothpicks.
