Guacamole with Warm Chips
This is another Gabrielle Solis recipe. If it seems like I’m making more of her recipes than the rest of the Desperate Housewives…yep! I’m loving the flavor combos in her meals, and they tend to be pretty simplistic overall so far!
For this one, everything is chopped, diced, and/or measured before being thrown into a bowl and mashed together.
Apparently it can be kept in the fridge for a few hours, but guacamole doesn’t last long at our house – especially this ridiculously delicious version!!
The chips only take 5 minutes to heat up in the oven, and then you’re ready to go!
Taste: 10/10
I will 100% make this again. I thought the pepper would be too spicy, but it wasn’t at all. And of course the cilantro, red onion and lime are ALWAYS great additions to guacamole!
Difficulty: Easy
I guess this could be considered average if you’ve never chopped up an avocado before, but they do a pretty good job of explaining how in the instructions. Mostly this recipe is just chopping and mashing!
Cost: Cheap
You’ll need lime juice, avocados, red onion, cilantro, serrano or jalapeno pepper, salt, and corn chips.
